This four coin set commemorates the participation of Czechoslovak airmen in World War II, in which they fought as part of the Royal Air Force (RAF).

The reverse sides of the coins present the war scenes with Czechoslovak fighters shooting a German bomber over the cliffs of Dover; the crew of the KX-B aircraft fighting for life on sea surface; a Liberator bomber attacking a German blockade breaker and sinking it; and finally, the Czechoslovak airmen return from exile to Prague.
