2019 Proof Krugerrand Prestige Set - Privy Mark D-Day, Coin Set from South Africa - detailed information

The exclusive Krugerrand Prestige Set includes six Kruggerand coins from 2019 in proof quality. The set contains the following coins - 1 oz gold, 1/2 oz gold, 1/4 oz gold, 1/10th oz gold, 1/20th oz gold and 1/50th oz gold. The reverse of each coin depicts the legendary "Springbok", the national animal of South Africa. The obverse features the South African Republic’s first president from 1882 to 1902, Paul Kruger.

The coins have a privy mark "MCMXLIV" on the reverse, which is the Roman numerals for 1944, to commemorate D-Day, part of the lead-up to the end of World War Two.

The limited Krugerrand Prestige Set 2019 is presented in a wooden box including a numbered certificate of authenticity from the South African Mint (Krugerrand coins are produced by Rand Refinery together with the South African Mint, and are packaged and marketed by the South African Mint).
