1997 Britannia Silver Proof Collection, Coin Set from United Kingdom - detailed information

1997 was the first year when coins of the Britannia bullion range were issued in silver. Four denominations were issued in what was called the "Britannia silver" composition (95.8% silver), in Proof FDC grade.

This was the tenth anniversary of the series, which was marked by having an entirely new reverse design.
