The gold version of the "Annual" United Kingdom mint set includes the regular circulating coins plus (most of) the commemorative coins issued throughout the year.
The 2013 set includes an unprecedented number of commemorative coins: the Queen's Coronation 60th Anniversary £5), three different commemorative £2 coins: the Golden Guinea, the London Underground (Roundel) and the London Underground (Train), and the Christopher Ironside commemorative 50 pence.
Apart from the "definitive" £1 of the Royal Shield type, there are also two £1 coins with the floral emblems of England and Wales respectively.
The rest of the coins in the set are all the regular circulating coins, from the definitive £2 Technology down to 1p.
All coins in this set are struck in 22-carat gold and are in Proof FDC grade, with a frosted finish. |
