|Coin||Platinum Fifty Grams ABC CombiBar|
Australia has two mints, the Royal Australian Mint (which also makes the country's circulating coinage) and the Perth Mint, which are both very active in the bullion coinage space; coins issued by them are legal tender.
Additionally, there are private issuers of bullion which is not legal tender and is targeted at investors and not at coin collectors - such as this one.
This 50 g (fifty grams) platinum bar is part of the ABC Bullion platinum bullion range. Unlike the "tablets", it is made in a way that allows it to be easily broken up into fifty one-gram mini tablets.
The obverse shows the ABC square ingot logo in top left; to the right of it on two lines, ABC ® BULLION.
Below left, on three lines the precious metal content: 50 g PLATINUM 999.5 (fifty grams of 99.99% platinum).
Below right, the logo of the assayer CHI ESSAYEUR FONDEUR, below which the unique serial number of the whole bar.
The reverse consists of fifty separate mini-bars (five rows of ten), each with the same design.
Each mini-bar shows the ABC square ingot logo on the top; below which on three lines its precious metal content: 1 g PLATINUM 999.5 (one gram of 99.99% platinum).
Below that, the logo of the assayer CHI ESSAYEUR FONDEUR. The separate mini-bars do not have a serial number.
