Set of four gold medals featuring Czech art themes.
Czech art is highly esteemed in the world. Czech Mint has expressed it through the Ducat series, which pays tribute to the four impressive art works that we consider our national treasures: a poetic song, Máj by Karel Hynek Macha, the opera Rusalka by Antonin Dvorak, a sculptural group of Záboj and Slavoj by Josef Vaclav Myslbek and a picture - Trutnov - from the cycle of Homeland by Mikolas Ales. Four important cultural monuments, four stunning medals representing proof of the famous Czech skill and also an exceptional investment opportunity. The author of the four medals is Jaroslav Bejvl, who dedicated his life to the creation of two kinds of art - artistic lamps, and medals. From his workshop came 400 plaster models, most of which were realised and awarded by the Czech National Bank. Bejvl`s sense of composition and remarkable perception of space have now created another extraordinary set of medal jewels. |
