This coin set is part of the proprietary double-capsule series by the South African Mint, and consists of two identical 2024 1/4 oz gold Big Five Elephant coins. Each reverse of the proof coins bears the design of two halves of the face of an African elephant. When placed together, the reverses form a full face. The set is packaged in a revolutionary double capsule which houses the coins close enough to each other to form a full elephant face, and wide enough apart that the coins remain pristine and do not touch.

The double capsule set is packaged in a beautiful box made of walnut bark with a glossy piano finish bearing a digital print of the majestic creature on top.
