Apart from its regular circulating coinage, the Solomon Islands has authorised a number of mints to issue collector coins; some of these are in precious metals, but some are in "base" metals, and are denominated as Twenty Cents (20c). They are usually dedicated to historical or general popular culture themes not related to the country itself. These coins are classified as Non-Circulating Legal Tender (NCLT). |
