John Paul II The Mint of Poland presents a unique coin with a three-dimensional, achromatic hologram - “John Paul II”. For the first time in the world, an achromatic hologram has found application in the manufacture of coins!
The colorless hologram (in various shades of gray) represents a three-dimensional image of the face of the Pope, which is actually flat. Optical illusion occurs due to the use of nanotechnology, i.e. a set of methods and techniques that provide the ability to create various structures with nanometric sizes from 0.1 to 100 nanometers.
As in the case of other coins made in the Mint of Poland, this hologram is integral, which means it is made directly on the material of the coin, in contrast to the widely used holograms in the form of stickers affixed to products.
The coin was issued by the Principality of Andorra on the occasion of the 32nd anniversary of the pontificate of Pope John Paul II. The Mint of Poland minted a coin with a circulation of up to 15,000 pcs.
Boxed, encapsulated, with CoA.In the background is a Gothic rose. Below is the coat of arms of the Principality of Andorra. Under the coat of arms is the sign of the Mint of Poland (m / w).
