series is dedicated to Andorra's diverse fauna. This silver coin was struck from 1 ounce 99,9% silver in the shape of the dwarf state of Andorra and features a colorful depiction of the
marmot
native to the country. Also included in the design is the inscription "NATURA MARMOTA". The reverse features the year of issue "2013" as well as the official national coat of arms of Andorra and the inscription "PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA". The marmot belongs to the family of large ground squirrels and is the third-largest rodent in Europe after the beaver and porcupine. They can weigh up to at least three kilograms and have a dense coat of awn hairs. They are mainly found in the Alps and mountains at altitudes of 800 to 3000 meters. The
