series is dedicated to Andorra's diverse fauna. This silver coin was struck from 1 ounce 99,9% silver in the shape of the dwarf state of Andorra and features a colorful depiction of the

squirrel

native to the country. Also included in the design is the inscription "NATURA ESQUIROL". The reverse features the year of issue "2013" as well as the official national coat of arms of Andorra and the inscription "PRINCIPAT D'ANDORRA". Squirrels belong to the rodent family and are divided into three groups: tree-dwellers, ground squirrels and flying squirrels. They can be found in every forested region of Europe and Asia, but prefer forests with tall pine trees as their habitat. They can be easily recognized by their distinctive fur color and bushy tails.
