Coins have the shape of a circle, on the front and back sides - a protruding edging around the circumference. The side surface of the coins is corrugated.
Obverse On a gold coin with a face value of 50 rubles, silver and copper-nickel coins are located: at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center - a stylized image of a sword resembling a man in outline: on a gold coin - against the background of cracked earth, on a silver and copper-nickel coin - against the background of chain mail; in the inscription circle: in the upper part - RESPUBLIKA BELARUS, at the bottom the denomination is 50 RUBLESЎ (on a gold coin), 20 RUBLESЎ (on a silver coin) and 1 RUBLES (on a silver-nickel), alloy test (on gold and silver) and the year of issue of the coins into circulation. On the front side of a gold coin with a face value of 20 rubles are located: at the top - a relief image of the State Emblem of the Republic of Belarus; in the center, framed by a wreath of oak leaves, are images of two Gothic swords; in the inscription circle: at the top - RESPUBLIKA BELARUS, at the bottom denomination - 20 RUBLES, alloy test and year of minting.
Reverse stylized print in the form of a thumbprint, the structure of which shows the inscription: GRUNVALD BITVA and the battle date - 07/15/1410. On a gold coin with a face value of 20 rubles are depicted: in the center - a cup topped with a wreath of oak leaves, as a receptacle for suffering from the war and ten cross-shaped pyramidal ledges as a memory of those who died in the Great War; in the inscription circle: at the top - GRUNVALD BITVA, at the bottom - 600 YEAR.Battle of Grunwald.
