is dedicated to one of the most famous soft drinks in the world -

Pepsi®

. The innovative coin was struck from 6 grams of silver in the

shape of a Pepsi® bottle cap in retro design

. The coin depicts the so-called "Pepsi Globe" in the typical red, blue and white color scheme. The "PEPSI-COLA®" lettering is also included in the design. The reverse shows the coat of arms of the Republic of Chad - a shield held by a goat and a lion - as well as the weight, fineness, denomination and year of issue. The Pepsi-Cola® was developed in 1893 by pharmacist Caleb Bradham and is the main competitor of Coca-Cola®. The name of the drink is probably due to the enzyme pepsin. After Pepsi® faced bankruptcy several times, the company was able to regain stability in the market by consistently establishing itself as a low-cost brand. Pepsi® was sold at the same price as Coca-Cola®, but in bottles twice the size, and gained even greater recognition through massive advertising campaigns. The denomination "5 cents" on the coin refers to an advertising slogan in which the particularly large bottles are advertised at particularly favourable prices. The
