The 2015 coin set of the

Big Five series

from the Congo is dedicated to the

lion

. The skilful hunter is the largest land predator in Africa and is at the top of the food chain. It is commonly considered the "king of animals" and is associated with attributes such as courage, strength and determination. As a member of the "Big Five", the lion was one of the most dangerous and difficult animals to hunt, along with leopard, elephant, rhino and buffalo. Numerous safaris are carried out with the aim of getting to see the famous "Big Five". The motives of the four 99.9% pure gold coins included in the set present the African continent as well as different representations of the lion. On the reverse of the coins there is the coat of arms of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The strcitly limited set of four gold coins in proof quality is delivered in a noble wooden box including a certificate of authenticity.
