Anita Ekberg (*September 29, 1931) was elected Miss Sweden in 1950. As a result, the gorgeous beauty queen became internationally famous. Already in 1953, she was able to achieve her first big film success opposite John Wayne in “Blood Alley“. No doubt her most popular role was when she played Sylvia in “La Dolce Vita“. Especially the scene in which she takes a night-time bath in the Trevi Fountain obtained her international fame. This scene has contributed in making the biggest fountain in Rome extremely popular with tourists even today. Anita was also familiar to Bob Dylan – he even mentions her in his song “I Shall Be Free“.
