The outstanding pianist and music composer of Hungarian origin Ferenc (or Franz) Liszt, born on 22 October 1811 in Raiding, today Austria, is one of the prominent representatives of Romanticism.Ferenc Liszt ranks among the most spectacular personalities in the world of music. An eccentric character and great worshipper of women, a pianist with virtuosic skills who filled European concert halls, an intellectual, cosmopolitan, globetrotter and, primarily, tireless music composer. His music work includes 123 piano pieces, 77 songs, 25 orchestral compositions, 65 spiritual and 28 secular chorus pieces as well as a large number of adaptations of organ and other musical works.The obverse side features the effigy of Ferenc Liszt, together with his signature, dates of birth and death.The reverse side depicts a piano in outline and a staff; in circumscription the author of the design placed the nominal of the coin (50,000 forints) and name of the country The Hungarian Republic.
