About the Coin: Twenty years ago, Lithuania's accession to NATO and the European Union became a historic and decisive step for the country in securing its security and integrating into the European community. Having met all the necessary conditions and alliance membership criteria, Lithuania officially became a NATO member on March 29, 2004. This day of accession to NATO brought the country not only military security but also the trust of foreign investors, who saw this step as a guarantee of stability and security.
The twenty years since Lithuania's accession to the European Union on May 1, 2004, attest to Lithuania's determination to become an integral part of the European family.
