The Therizinosaurus lived in Asia during the Late Cretaceous period around 70 million years ago. The first remains of these creatures were discovered in 1948 in the Gobi Desert in China. These creatures could grow up to 33 feet long, 16 feet tall, and weigh around 5 tons. Originally thought to be a large turtle, it took 25 years for the creature to be identified as a Theropod Dinosaur.
