The 17th edition of the Games of the Small States of Europe, a sporting event for European countries with a population less than one million inhabitants, will be held in San Marino from 29 May to 3 June 2017. The participating countries are: San Marino, Andorra, Cyprus, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malta, Monaco and Montenegro. The reverse of the coin features, in the middle, the value of 5 EURO, surrounded by five athletes performing the following sports: cycling, volleyball, shooting, swimming and athletics.
