2 Euro commemorative uncirculated coin dedicated to the “750th anniversary of the birth of Dante Alighieri”, year 2015

During of Alighiero degli Alighieri, said Dante, born in Florence on a date between 22 May and 13 June 1265. The poet par excellence, able to communicate with the sensitive language of the universal word. At the age of seven hundred and fifty years from his birth, the Republic of San Marino intends to pay a symbolic tribute to him with a commemorative 2 euro fior coin. In the obverse, designed by Annalisa Masini, the profile of Dante, taken from a fresco by Botticelli, is combined with a writing inspired by the captains of the first copyists of the Divine Comedy.
