The platinum bars were produced by Valcambi, a world-renowned refiner of precious metals based in Switzerland. Upon arrival, you will find your bar housed in a sealed assay card. The back of the card contains the assayer signature and confirms these bars were professionally inspected for weight and purity. If you so choose, these bars can be removed from their sealed plastic and broken into 50 individual one-gram pieces. This could potentially serve trade and bartering purposes in the event of a financial crisis.
Valcambi was founded in 1961 and was initially known as Valori and Cambi. Six years later, the name was changed to the current Valcambi. The company was eventually purchased by Credit Suisse, and then later by European Gold Refineries SA.
