PAMP Suisse is one of the many refineries to celebrate the Year of the Dragon in 2012. The dragon is the fifth animal in the 12-year cycle of the Zodiac, and is said to deliver rain when it hovers in the skies, according to Chinese traditions. Those born under the sign of the dragon are said to be enthusiastic, ambitious, and hardworking.
On the reverse face of the bar is the image of a dragon wrapped around a pole. Its long claws and scales easily visible, the dragon looks out from its perch with a face that almost smirks at you. The lone engraving on this side is the Chinese symbol for dragon.
The obverse face of the bar depicts the backside angle of the dragon featured on the other side. Running from top to bottom along the bar are the engravings of the PAMP Suisse corporate logo, the bar’s weight, purity, and metal content, its individual serial number, and the assayer’s mark.
