Though it doesn’t spell the end of the PAMP Suisse Lunar Collection, this brilliant silver bar does mark the conclusion of the calendar, which will reset in 2020 with the Year of the Rat. The Year of the Pig is the second bar in the Lunar Collection from PAMP Suisse to adopt new design elements. While it still features two different angles of the same scene, it has added details that other bars do not feature. Most notably, the reverse side reveals more to the scene than is visible on the obverse.
All 100 Gram PAMP Suisse Lunar Pig Silver Bars are available inside of the sealed CertiPAMP packages of PAMP Suisse. The bars come with an included Assay card that bears the imprints of the bar’s weight, metal content, purity, and its individual serial number which includes a one-letter, six-number digit system. There is also the signature of a certified assayer on the cards.
On the obverse of 100 Gram Lunar Pig Silver Bars is the image of an adult pig as it lays in a cluster of grass. There is a small, wooden fence that runs behind the pig and an engraving above its head of the Chinese symbol for the pig.
The reverse face of 100 Gram PAMP Suisse Lunar Pig Silver Bars includes a more detailed look at the same scene. Here, you can see that on the other side of the fence behind the pig as it lays down is an open chest of gold and silver coins. Near that chest are small piglets, one of which is laying down in the grass while the other stands up near some of the spilled coins.
