Information about legend: FALKLAND ISLANDS QUEEN ELIZABETH II

The Falkland Islands, a British Overseas Territory in the South Atlantic Ocean, uses the Falkland Islands Pound as its currency; it is a variation of the United Kingdom Pound Sterling and has always been pegged to it at par. The coinage of the territory is issued in the monarch's name and has her effigy and legend (in English) on the obverse.

The form is usually QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND or QUEEN ELIZABETH II FALKLAND ISLANDS, but on some non-circulating coins the order is reversed, as FALKLAND ISLANDS QUEEN ELIZABETH II.
