Information about Georgios Stamatopoulos

Georgios Stamatopoulos (Greek Γεώργιος Σταματόπουλος) is a Greek artist and engraver at the Greek National Bank. The coins he designed bear his initials ΓΣ, or the signature ΣTAM.

Apart from the national sides of the Greek circulating Euro coins, he has also designed many commemoratives for Greece, and the common European issue of the €2 marking 10 years of the European Monetary Union.
