Information about Josef Kaiser

Josef Kaiser (10 March 1954 - )

Josef Kaiser (Josip Kaiser) is an Austrian sculptor, painter, and coin designer.

After graduating from the Higher School of Applied Arts in Split in 1972, Josef Kaiser moved to Austria and studied sculpture at the University of Applied Arts Vienna, graduating in 1978. He began teaching at this university in 1980 and became its vice rector in 2007. In addition to his sculpting work, he created several coin designs, of which the best known are those of the Austrian Euro circulation coins (designed 2002).
