Information about Sultan Agung bin Sultan Inayatullah of Banjar

Sultan Agung / Pangeran Suryanata II bin Sultan Inayatullah was the sultan of Banjar (also known as Banjarmasin) from 1663 until his death in 1679.

His birth name is Raden Kasuma Lalana. He took power from his nephew in a coup and moved the government to the Prince River (Banjarmasin). Another title he was known as was Pangeran Dipati Anom II.

Between 1663 and 1679 he ruled from the new capital while his rival Sultan Amrullah Bagus Kasuma bin Sultan Saidullah, "the runaway king", ruled the Alay district.
