Information about Sultan Mustain Billah bin Sultan Hidayatullah I of Banjar

Sultan Mustain Billah bin Sultan Hidayatullah I was the sultan of Banjar (also known as Banjarmasin) from 1595 until his death in 1642.

His birth name was Raden Senapati. Allegedly he was an usurper, because he was not the son of the empress even though he was the oldest child of Sultan Hidayatullah I. He moved the capital after an attack from the Dutch VOC on the old capital, and named the new capital Martapura.
