Banjar, Sultanate of - Sultan Amrullah Bagus Kasuma bin Sultan Saidullah (1663 - 1700)

Sultan Amrullah Bagus Kasuma bin Sultan Saidullah was the sultan of Banjar (also known as Banjarmasin) from 1663 until his death in 1700.

His birth name is Raden Bagus. Between 1660 and 1663 he was represented by Sultan Rakyatullah in running the government because he was not yet an adult. In 1663 his half-uncle Prince Dipati Anom II / Sultan Agung seized the throne from Sultan Rakyatullah, who was supposed to be the legal heir as the next Sultan of Banjar. Meanwhile he was appointed by Prince Tapesana / Sultan Rakyatullah with the title Sultan Amrullah Bagus Kasuma.

Between 1663 and 1679 he was "the runaway king" who ruled the Alay district, while his rival Sultan Agung ruled from the capital at the same time. In 1679 he managed to overcome his rival and ascended the throne unopposed.

This, his reign is sometimes listed as two separate reigns (1663- 1679 as pretender, then 1679 - 1700 as unopposed ruler), and sometimes as one unbroken reign (which it was, from his own point of view).
