Tokelau / King Edward VII

Edward VII (Albert Edward) was King of the United Kingdom and the British Dominions and Emperor of India from 22 January 1901 until his death.

The island of Tokelau got the status of a British Protectorate and was formally brought under the protection of the High Commissioner for the Western Pacific in June 1889. Thus, the British monarch became its head of state.

No coinage was issued for the country in this period.
