1997 Perth Coin Fair Coin and Medallion Set, Coin Set from Australia - detailed information

This set is issued as part of a four-year series to commemorate each of the Perth Coin Fairs from 1997 to the year 2000.

The set contains a two-ounce Australian Kookaburra coin (bullion, in "specimen" grade), and a two-ounce 99.9% silver medallion. The medallion depicts a bronze penny and a bronze half penny, both dated 1943; in a ribbon above, it has the inscription NOSS PERTH COIN FAIR, below which 16 - 17 AUGUST 1997; around below, MAXIMUM 500 MINTAGE. On the obverse of the medallion is the swan logo of the Perth Mint, and the inscription THE PERTH MINT EST. 1899.

The set comes in a leatherette box, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
