This set contains all four coins of The Australian Nugget series issued in 1986. The coins feature different gold nuggets discovered in Australia, and are in the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz sizes.

This is the first release in what later became a very large range of coins struck by the Perth Mint, both as bullion and in proof grade.

The set comes in a blue velvet-lined box, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
