The Australian Nugget - First Proof Issue 1986 (2 coins), Coin Set from Australia - detailed information

This set contains two of the four coins of The Australian Nugget series issued in 1986. The coins feature different gold nuggets discovered in Australia, and are in the1/4oz and 1/10oz sizes.

This is the first release in what later became a very large range of coins struck by the Perth Mint, both as bullion and in proof grade.

The set comes in a blue velvet-lined box, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
