This set contains four coins of The Australian Nugget series by the Perth Mint issued in 1988. The coins feature different gold nuggets discovered in Australia, and are in the 1oz, 1/2oz, 1/4oz and 1/10oz sizes.

The coins are in proof grade and their reverse designs differ from those of the respective bullion coins of the series issued the same year.

They have a special "Bicentennial" mint mark, commemorating 200 years of European settlement in Australia.

The set comes in a timber box, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
