This set contains all the circulating denominations issued in 2012 in New Zealand, struck in proof grade in sterling silver.
Collectively the coins feature many well-known New Zealand symbols such as the Māori carved mask, known as a ‘kōruru’ on the 10-cent coin, and the HMS Endeavour, the ship of Captain James Cook, on the 50-cent coin.
The set is issued by NZ Post, the official issuer of New Zealand stamps and commemorative coins, under the authority of the Reserve Bank of New Zealand; the coins themselves were struck by the Royal Dutch Mint. |
