Elephant Black and White, 2022, Coin Set from Somalia - detailed information

The Somalia Elephant "Black and White" set features the 2022 Elephant design of the popular African Wildlife Series in black and white. On one of the coins the elephant is white on a black background, and on the other it is reversed - a black elephant on white background. The black colour is achieved by Ruthenium plating, while the white colour is selective lacquer cover.

Both coins were struck from one ounce of 99.99% pure silver in uncirculated quality.

The African Wildlife Series is characterised by an annually changing design and is very popular among collectors and investors worldwide. The 2022 issue shows an elephant mother ("cow") walking in the savanna with her baby ("calf"); in the background, flying birds and the sun.
