2020 Krugerrand Launch Set, Coin Set from South Africa - detailed information

This launch set marks the so-called V-E Day - the day celebrating the formal acceptance by the Allies of World War II of Germany’s unconditional surrender of its armed forces in 1945.

The set consists of a 1oz 24ct gold proof Krugerrand with a privy mark on the reverse featuring the Roman numerals for the year 1945 and a large letter V (for Victory), and a sterling-silver medallion with the inscription "SEVENTY FIFTH, COMMEMORATION, VICTORY IN EUROPE, MCMXLV, VE DAY, 1945 2020".
