2017 Protea Launch Set - Life of a Legend, Coin Set from South Africa - detailed information

The 2017 Protea Launch Set consists of a 1oz and 1/10oz 24ct gold coins, as well as the sterling-silver proof coin. The "Life of a Legend - Nelson Mandela" Protea series was introduced in 2013, representing a different chapter of Nelson Mandela’s life on each year’s coin issue. The 2017 edition of the series focuses on Mr Mandela’s contribution to the African National Congress (ANC) and the resistance movement in South Africa, and on his life sentencing at the Rivonia Trial.

Included in this set is also a sterling-silver medallion.
