The 80th Anniversary of VE Day Collector Two-Coin Set, Coin Set from United Kingdom - detailed information

This two-coin set is one of the "historic" issues by the Royal Mint combining a newly released coin with a historic coin taken from circulation.

The set celebrates the 80th anniversary of one of the most significant moments of the Second World War - VE Day (Victory in Europe) - 8 May 1945.

The modern coin in the set is the silver version of a commemorative 50 pence piece with a reverse design which is a "remastered version" of the 1995 End of WW2 commemorative£2 coin, and is in Proof FDC grade. The historic coin is a circulated florin from 1945.

The set comes in a black presentation box, with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
