The Royal Mint issued an extensive coin range dedicated to the upcoming XXX Olympiad, also known as the 2012 Olympic Games in London. Part of that was a nine-coin gold series divided into three themes - "Citius", "Altius" and "Fortius" after the Olympic motto, which translates from Latin as "faster, higher, stronger". This set has all three coins from the Altius / Higher theme - one one-ounce gold coin denominated as £100, and two quarter-ounce coins denominated as £25. | ||||||||||
