In 2008, for the first time ever, The Royal Mint released a special Limited Issue BU 7-coin Collection of the new designs for the Coinage of the United Kingdom. There was a change to the coinage of the United Kingdom - one of the most significant changes in 40 years. New designs for the 1p to the £1 were introduced, contemporary in treatment yet grounded in the traditions of the coinage. The set contains all the new circulating coin designs by Matthew Dent which were introduced in 2008 (£1 to 1p), in Brilliant Uncirculated grade. | ||||||||||
