A Portrait of Britain (2016)
Set NameA Portrait of Britain (2016)
United Kingdom / A Portrait of Britain (2016) - photo

In 2014 Royal Mint started a series of four-coin sets of silver coins called Portraits of Britain. This second set features landscapes from across the United Kingdom.

Designed by Royal Mint engravers Laura Clancy and Glyn Davies, each iconic attraction is viewed as though through the eyes of a visitor, giving the coins the feel of an impressionist painting, enhanced by the trichromatic colour-printing.

The coins are crown-sized, denominated as five pounds, and available in this set only; they were not sold individually.
