This set is one of the "hybrid" sets issued by the Royal Mint combining old and new coins, and has two crown-sized commemoratives celebrating milestones in the reign of Queen Elizabeth II. There is a 1977 crown was struck to mark Her Majesty’s Silver Jubilee - her first major milestone celebration as monarch, and a commemorative 2022 crown which honours the Platinum Jubilee and 70 years of service.

both coins have an equestrian (on horse) portrait of the Queen on the obverse.

The 1977 coin, formally denominated as 25 pence, is in "uncirculated" grade.
