This set is one of the "hybrid" sets issued by the Royal Mint combining old and new coins, and is "a curated collection of five coins that represent the breadth and magnificence of Queen Elizabeth II’s reign".
The set contains four sterling silver coins: two coins marking the Queen's Platinum Jubilee, and two "memorial" coins issued after her death which feature the portrait of King Charles III on the obverse; these are all in Proof FDC grade.
There is also a "historic" copper-nickel "crown" (five shillings) issued in 1953 to mark the Queen's coronation, which is in uncirculated grade; its reverse design was re-issued in 2022 on one of the 50p coins which are included in the set. |
