This eleven-coin set is part of a range of Royal Mint sets which include "historical" (i.e. not new) coins.
The mint says about it: "Charting the succession from one monarch to another, this four-coin set features coins from each Windsor monarch, excluding Edward VIII [who did not issue coinage for the United Kingdom during his brief reign]. The set includes half-crowns from the reigns of George V, George VI and Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. The Coronation of His Majesty King Charles III 2023 UK £5 Coin, which features His Majesty The King’s official crowned coinage portrait on the obverse, completes the set; the reverse design of the 2023 coin focuses on the St Edward’s Crown and the Sovereign’s Sceptres."
The 2023 coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated grade; the older coins are circulated (minimum of "Very Fine" grade) and are variously dated: - King George V Half Crown, 1928 - 1936, 50% silver - King George VI Half Crown, 1947 - 1951, copper-nickel - Queen Elizabeth II Half Crown, 1953 - 1967, copper-nickel |
