Issued to mark the new Millennium, this set contains the 2000 edition of the Millennium Crown (commemorative £5 coin), the "definitive" type of Technology £2 coin, the Welsh Dragon £1, the Library Act 50p commemorative, and the smaller circulating denominations from 20p down to one penny. Unlike the regular annual sets of the year, it does not contain the definitive (Britannia type) 50p.
The set is packaged in a velvet-lined "time capsule" tin with a window through which the Millennium Crown can be seen. |
