Australia has two mints, the Royal Australian Mint (which also makes the country's circulating coinage) and the Perth Mint, which are both very active in the bullion coinage space; coins issued by them are legal tender. They sometimes also strike bullion and commemorative objects of precious metal which are not legal tender. One of these formats, targeted at collectors, is the silver foil - a large thin rectangle weighing, usually with a commemorative theme. | ||||
