The BMX Riding coin is the sixth and final release from the exciting Young Collectors ‘Experience It!’ series. Not for the faint hearted, BMX Riding is an action-packed sport providing fun and fitness for people of all ages, skill levels and gender. Aluminium Bronze $1 Coin This $1 coin is struck by The Perth Mint from high quality aluminium bronze. Exciting Reverse Design The coin’s coloured reverse portrays a BMX rider on his bike performing a stunt, with two other riders looking on, within a stylised geometric border. The inscriptions BMX RIDING and $1, and The Perth Mint’s ‘P’ mintmark also feature in the design. Australian Legal Tender Issued as Australian legal tender, the coin’s obverse depicts the Ian Rank-Broadley effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and the 2013 year-date. Illustrated Presentation Card A great gift for any budding young coin collector or BMX fan, the coin is housed in an illustrated presentation card which has fantastic illustrations and information about the sport.
