Launched in 2007, the Australian Silver Koala Series is one of the most popular coin programs from the Perth Mint. Starting with just a 1 oz silver option, the mint quickly expanded to include a 1/2 oz, 10 oz, and 1-kilo weight starting the very next year. In 2016, the Perth Mint suspended the 1/2 oz and 10 oz silver coins. This annual release features a unique image of a koala on every edition. The 2012 version shows a koala lying on a tree branch. 2012 10 oz Australian Silver Koala Coins are available for purchase now, at JM Bullion.
