NGC 1097 is a barred spiral galaxy located approximately 45 million light-years away in the constellation Fornax. What makes this galaxy particularly fascinating is its prominent bar-shaped structure of stars that cuts through its center, creating a bridge between the galaxy’s spiral arms.
